I love this.
Have you heard of the Little Free Library? What began as a small schoolhouse-shaped box with a “free books” sign in 2009 has now become a nationwide movement. These small, handmade boxes with “take a book, leave a book” simplicity offer an easy way to share books with your friends and neighbors, and I’m so excited that this adorable trend is finally coming to Dayton! Eight Little Free Libraries will soon be registered in the greater Dayton area, and one will be housed locally at Schoolhouse Park in Centerville.
Below is an official press release for the upcoming Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on July 13 at 10:45 a.m. It includes a free story time! Bring your books and get ready to swap some books with other local families – and enjoy the park while you’re there, as well!
